BOLLORI (1973)

'Bollori' is based on the Oil township,Digboi.It is a story about high official of the Assam Oil Company, Nalin Duarah and his wife Oli. Oli is a simple village girl but her husband introduces her to the club life where she gets very confused. Gradually, she gets attracted to a geologist, Sengupta. This affair between the two spreads like wild fire. Nalin Duarah is ashamed and sends Oli back home to her village. She resorts to suicide as a last resort. Nalin regrets his decision but it was too late. Misunderstanding between husband and wife results in this misfortune.
