SATAGNI (1965)

In this novel, the author shows the hatred and frustration of the common people brought about by 1962; Indo-China war. The economic and social loss inflicted by the war is vividly described in this novel. A girl was married to a Chinese businessman but he was arrested by the police because he was thought to be a smuggler. From the same family one youth who was in the army fighting against the Chinese was captured by the Chinese army. The problems of the families due to war on their marriges is being described. The author has shown the social conflict within the family when the Chinese crossed over the Himalayas to rage a war against India starting from the Assam-Arunachal to Ladakh in Kashmir.
