BHARATI (1969)

'Bharati' has been written with the backdrop of the language conflict between the Assamese and Bengali's in 1960. It is a story about the sad plight of Bharati who is a Bengali girl from East Pakistan and how she overcomes her difficulties. Inspite of the language conflicts,the similarities between the Assamese and Bengali in cultural and humanitarian grounds has been strongly revealed.
