PHULKONWARAR POKI GHORA (1988)

This novel is based on the political and social situation on 1945,1946 and 1947. The main characters are of a few families who were involved in the 1942 movement and various other movements. It gives a description of the Japanese invasion too. How the characters faced the grave situation and how they coped with it and managed to help the state program. Feeling of the Great leaders of Assam like Gopinth Bordoloi,Bisnuprasad Rabha,Surjyakumar Bhuyan, Jyotiprasad Agarwala are viewed through the characters. It is a memorable historical document of Assam of pre Independent India.
